Grendel Games accepts several interns per semester. We usually place programmers and artists.
Preferred is experience with at least C# or C++, affinity with math and preferably intimate knowledge of linear algebra. You have working knowledge of the principles of object-oriented programming and some basic design patterns. Depending on your specific interests some experience in for instance 3D graphics, artificial intelligence or tools development. You have a problem solving attitude and experience in speaking English. Required is a working sample of representative code along with your application.
For concept artists: Digital material and sketches of characters and/or environments. Depending on your specific interests you have working knowledge of human and animal anatomy, perspective drawing and the mechanics of light and shadow.
For 3d artists: experience in any of the major 3d programs (3dsMax/Maya/XSI), proven ability to unwrap and texture objects efficiently and experience with modeling optimized objects for realtime 3d. Show us some of your work having been exported into a game engine, or better yet, incorporated in a game. Experience in speaking English
